In 2010, Ford introduced the SVT Raptor model of the F-150. Intended for dedicated off-road use, the Raptor has a number of modifications to improve its off-road ability. It includes a full set of FOX shocks with 11.2" of front suspension travel and 12.1" of rear travel. It wears a wider body and fenders than the standard F-Series truck and has plenty of horsepower!

The SVT Lightning was introduced for the 1993 model year and then again in 1999. Both trucks had substantial frame and suspension modifications, but Gen I trucks were powered by a 240 hp 5.8 L V8 while Gen II trucks were supercharged, producing 360 hp (380 after 2001). To handle the extra power, the 4-speed transmission was borrowed from Ford's V10 diesel Super Duty trucks.

EcoBoost is a family of turbocharged, direct injected gasoline engines produced by the Ford Motor Company. Engines equipped with EcoBoost technology are designed to deliver power and torque consistent with larger displacement, naturally aspirated engines while achieving approximately 20% better fuel efficiency and 15% reduced greenhouse emissions than these same engines.

What is a Solid Axle Swap (SAS)? An SAS is when you replace the entire Independent Front Suspension with a Mono Beam front axle (solid axle). The more popular axle's used are the Dana 44 and the Dana 60. Is an SAS right for you?
