My '98 F250 has the air suspension factory option. I only use the truck once a month to go to the dump. One rear air bag is non functional, extruded out of the coil spring etc. But before it went bad, the system had leaks etc. Will it just be a normal F250 if I pull the compressor fuse and not use the air suspension?

Are you talking about the F250 LD that looks just like a F150?

No, the trucks without air suspension use leaf springs and shock absorbers on the rear. 2wd fronts are coil springs and shocks, 4wd fronts are torsion bars and shocks.

You could probably grab a set of leaf springs from a pick-n-pull for pretty cheap. Monroe Gas Magnum shocks are pretty good and reasonably priced.
