installing rbp air intake

Does anyone have the RBP air intake? I'm planning to get one for my 09 F150 because it looks good and I found a nice price at 4 wheel online. Just curious if there's any performance gain using this product. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

No performance gain, and you will need custom tuning to avoid running excessively lean.

In my honest idea a drop in filter would be more beneficial compared with cai or air intakes.

Oiled dropins can foul the MAF. They offer no performance or economy benefits.

As long as you don't soak the filter with oil it would foul the MAF.

I have a VOLANT CAI and go easy on the oil
been fine for 60,000 mi. / '06 5.4

I also have a custom tune up-grade for my EDGE from Power Hungry Performance in Winder GA.
but even running 93 oct. on Level III I can't tell any difference from stock setting running 87 oct.
all the gas I use has 10% Ethanol

So any performance gain after the installation beside the sound it produces? I recently installed a AFE Performance filter and run a dyno run it added 1 pony.

nothing I could feel on the butt dyno

but it could have been 1/10 of a second fast from 0-60
in other words as glc says above, no gains

the companies use marketing $trategies to sell the consumer, and empty their wallet
