Planet Auto Ford Oval
2 Attachment(s)
Well here is a couple of pics of my red Ford Oval. I haven't attached it yet. As the blue oval is mounted to grille by two nuts on the studs from the oval, this one has the short studs (no threads) and locater pin with self adhesive backing. You cannot tell but grille was hit by a rock and appears to be cracked upper dr side. So, I'm looking for a replacment and I have not decided to paint grille openings red or argent silver. Plans are for a Cervini front spoiler which will be red, so I don't know if there would be to much red or not. is where you can order the oval in any factory color. Help me out. What do you think? Red or Argent Silver.

The openings look better black IMO, makes the Argent and Red stand out, BigRob painted his grille openings a darker black than the factory color(think it was gray) and it looked good.

I have to agree with blue. Argent will take away from the chrome and red wouldnt look right considering the grill wraps around with the headlights into the white down the side. Blue is also right about BigRob's grill. He used a satin black and it turned out great.

:iagree:Just to share, here's a pic of my oval.

I like that skatebowd. If I knew how to change those, I think an American flag or Battle flag would be a killer background for the oval. I would want it to still say ford. BTW, Nathan Bedford was a butt kicking son of gun. I have read several books on him including An Untutored Genuis [sic] wrote by a Professer I had in college. "who ever gets the firest with mostest wins". If the Generals had listened to him at Shiloh the south would have won that battle. BT, you could have said Army instead of Air Force. That hurt.:)

I have thought of that satin or flat blk for that performance look.

No disrespect intended to the Air Force. I just think it's humorous. If none of the branches of the Armed Forces didn't poke fun at one another from time to time it would get boring. Don't worry i can take it as well as dish it so :bringit: LOL!
Does Planet Auto have the Ford emblems in black?

BigBlue79 July 13th, 2012 01:51 PM

I can't find a planet auto website, only one's are used car dealerships and a planet auto wash...

The Frankster July 14th, 2012 11:55 AM

Any factory Ford color and I guess some others. I'll get the web address BigBlue. I was only kidding too BT. We all wore different caps until it was on for real. Then we all had the same game face on.

That web address is Never noticed it before. I have it saved in favs as planetauto. I was looking a yr or so ago and run across red emblems on a new red and white Shelby. Even the snake was red instead of blk. Also run across some Lightning emblems with red background instead of blk (fender emblems). So I did a different search and found planetauto.
