Hello All,
I've recently joined this club with an interest in 1970's Ford trucks. My 15 year old son and I have just begun our first restoration project. We have a 1977 F250 and are planning on making a sharp looking truck that is fun to drive. As this is our first project we are interested in any tips we can get our hands. We're not focused on restoring this to original.
Currently our truck has a new 440m motor, restored differential and drive lines along with some new brakes, repaired power steering and a few other minor repairs. We have been using this truck to plow snow at our house for the past 3 years. The body is in the worst shape, but I've found a 76 F250 with great body panels and hope to go pick it up this week.
I'll post some pictures as we go along, but I can always use advice from anyone interested in giving it. I have an engineering background and work in Wind Energy for the past 16 years so I'm comfortable in the shop, but still have a lot to learn about this truck.
