I thought I'd mention for the guys just starting out in this here world of Ford trucks and cars, this list tells you what transmission/bellhousing will fit which engine, like a 351 Windsor E4OD or 302 E4OD will bolt up to the 4.2L V6's found in the 1997+ F150's.

The 400 with the dual bellhousing pattern is a rare bird nowadays, if you can find a complete engine we're talking at least $1k.
