Here I am.
No you can't use the 81 bracket, it will snap before you know it. The mechanical clutch bracket will not hold the pressure from the hydraulic clutch set up. Your best bet is to find a truck in the junkyard and try the pedal for play, make yourself a permanent clutch rod fix (or I can sell you one) while you have it all apart.

Read through this stuff and come at me with questions, I will be glad to help. I have torn mine apart a couple of times. Once to band-aid the original and then to replace with a low mile piece I snagged from an f-SD.
