Default 1977 F150 Custom Restoration

I recently bought a 1977 F150 Custom 2WD automatic with 400 engine. I bought it for $1500 from a guy in Phoenix AZ and had it shipped to Philadelphia PA. It is not running as there seems to be an issue with the timing. I replaced the plugs and Iím still troubleshooting. I also replaced the carb since the guy that had it before did a poor job of rebuilding it. Iím not a super knowledgeable, learning as I go...There is very minor surface rust on the body. I would like to fully restore the truck but am overwhelmed and have no clue how or where to start. Could anyone recommend a good reference book/guide for a step by step approach to restoring a truck? I realize every truck is unquie. However, I just need a plan of action and a way to plan out what I need to do.

LMC is a great source for information. Even if you don't order their parts, they show exploded views of how most of the stuff goes together. I use my LMC magazine all the time as a reference when I need to go junking or ordering something. Keep us updated as you roll along with this build.
