Towing with 6.2l
Just bought my first Ford and so far love. It's a '15 F250 with 6.2 My only issue is towing. Pulled 4500lb trailer on highway, and truck will not shift into 6th gear. Cannot hold speed even on flat road. Below 60mph it's fine. Highway speeds it falls flat on its face. I have to add that the truck has a 4" lift and 35X12.5 tires. Does anyone else have same issue? I expected a little more out of this engine.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, tried that. Made it worse. Would stay in 4th gear with the occasional upshift to 5th, but only on flat or downhill.

What axle ratio do you have? Have you checked your cats for excessive backpressure?

These newer trucks don't have an easily replaceable fuel filter. It's a "lifetime" filter inside the tank.

Diesels have a big serviceable fuel filter and water separator.
