Default Safelite auto glass

Anybody here used Safelite auto glass repair/replace? I've gotta have the Front windshield replaced in the 88 as it has some scratches(and I'm not talking little bity) that I can't buff out, I was quoted $138.95 online + $24.99 If I want them to come out to my house to replace it, comes w/ a Warranty for as long as I own the truck.

They are a nationwide company and in NC they have a good reputation. I most likely will have them to pull my windshield and reset it and seal it.

I need to get mine done, but it will probably go to a local shop so the insurance covers it.
My passenger side carpet is constantly wet.
I'm just wondering how they do with the chrome trim on these trucks.

IDK, only problem with mine is someone ran the passenger side wiper down to nothing or ran it during the winter and there was ice on the windshield and from the bottom of where the wiper touches all the way around is scratched where sometimes you can't even see out of it at certain angle's, I'll snap a pic tomorrow of it.

Blue you can pull them up at the BBB and they will tell if there is any complaints and their rating. They have a A+ rating.

Be very careful useing Insurance to replace that windshield
as you could be paying for it in the long run
like when go go to renew your policy, it we be noted as [ claim filed for under $1000.00 ] this is not good and it will not give info as to what was replaced or how much it actually cost.
this will follow you throughout your vehicle ownership even when you switch companies

and the same goes for the $70.00 chip repair

don't belive me ask you insurance agent he'll tell you to do it
but he Will NOT tell you the whole Truth

as all things in Life are not free; the choice is yours

all I can say is think about what I said and BEWARE, you have been warned

save your Insurance useage for something catostrophic, not a convience cause you can't scratch up the cash right now
cut back on a vice and save your $$$

Safelite is a great company. They accept all insurance companies and do very good work. We use them at work.

Lowriders are for guys who can't get it up!

I have to agree here. Better to pay out of pocket than to put in a insurance claim.

Any company may be able to replace windshields but I've seen some of the "shadier" ones not even seal the windshield or install used glass at a new price, we had one that charged us $150 for a new front windshield in a Dodge and after install and the guy left you could see little tiny bubbles in between the layers of glass.
