Yes, I removed the smog pump from my 1995 F150. All in all, I was not happy with the E303 cam. I am not sure if I would have been better off just leaving the manifold, plenum and heads all stock and just doing the cam or leaving the stock cam (what I was told to do) and change out the manifold, plenum, heads etc.

I am now looking into changing the torque converter and also regearing when I lift the truck. This should improve my engines performance.

is it a big deal to just replace the smog pump?
They are not too pricey new..
Mine is making a squeaking noise all the time now.
I thought it was the alternator, hard to tell for sure by the sound, so I replaced it ( alternator ) and still there is this squeek. So the smog pump is next.
( the idler pulley and tensioner pully, water pump and P/S pump are new too..)
Any special tricks to changing this smog pump?
Thanks...

No special trick at all, it is just two bolts and a hose. Really easy swap. Good luck!
