don't forget 'Lighter Fluid'

and Kerosene is way far form gas or diesel in term of solvent, especially when kerosene is mixed with water

I don't know of any types, just the one that comes out of the pump at the local station or the 1 quart plastic bottle at Walmart, it cost about $4

did you try lighter fluid ??

CAUTION: never clean motorcycle tires with a mixture of Kerosene & water and take a sharp turn

Ouch J. It seemed the alcohol worked, but when I get time, I'd still like to clean that white and start fresh. Next time I'm in wally world, I'll check the kerosene out. I don't know if the old guy ever waxed the truck. I'm still pulling a little red when I wax it. Heck, I may just kerosene the whole truck. I have polish, glaze and two liquid waxes. That fine cut just didn't do what I wanted it to do. The paint in a few places has fine cracks in it. I guess he washed it with joy dish liquid too.

I don't know why they even sell paste anymore. Liquid is the way to go. My uncles favorite was New Finish.

If you kerosene it, you have to wash it with some kind of degreaser before you try to polish or wax it.

well I guess its dawn or joy but I really don't want to do that. I thought a soapy wash with the car soap would work.
