Default New to me 1988 F-150

New to the forums (but not ford) and F-150. Bringing home a 1988 F-150 I6/5-speed long bed 2wd tomorrow. It seems to run and drive just fine. Oil/water/tires look fine. 138000 miles. Has a few dents and a small exhaust leak. The dual tank switch doesn't work (I've been reading up on that). Also some weird captains chairs installed but he is giving me the original bench. Its a daily driver and had been at the restaurant we met at for a couple of hours and i saw no puddles of anything. Since it is a work truck for me I don't have big plans for it other than a good maintenance routine and whatever repairs it might need. I will be driving it daily but only about 20 miles round trip. Anything i need to be on the lookout for?

Transmission and how it shifts, any non standard noises. Overheating issues, electrical issues, hook up a multimeter on the battery while its running and see if it's charging properly and if there is any drains.
