Default Need help

Hello everybody, my dad tore the engine out of a 1980 F350 with a 351m and he can't remember where this bracket goes. Any help would be appreciated.

I had another picture showing where it bolts up on the axle housing,..but I couldn't make it small enough. Hope this helps.
