Recall Alert: 2013-2014 Ford F-150

2014 Ford F150 recall
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 225,000 2013-14 Ford F-150s equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine built at the Dearborn Truck Plant in Michigan from Aug. 1, 2013, through Aug. 22, 2014, and the Kansas City Assembly Plant in Missouri from Aug. 1, 2013, through Aug. 31, 2014

The Problem: The brake master cylinder can leak fluid that can move into the brake booster, affecting the ability of the front brakes to stop the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash. Ford is aware of 10 incidents related to this issue.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the brake master cylinder at no cost to the customer and replace the brake booster if they find any leaks.

What Owners Should Do: The automaker did not immediately announce an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call Ford at 866-436-7332 for more info.
