also if you look at the pic of the truck i posted in the thumbnail you'll see that on the factory paint scheme that there is a factory 1/4 inch stripe around the two tone. In the pic you can see it best on the fender. This was a SUPER BASTARD to lay out and make it look right.I had a whole day into it.BUT... the guy that owns this truck is one of us. He teared up when he picked up his truck and that made it worth it for me. Last year it had 67k on it. I've lost track of it since then.

If I wanted to paint it the same the color as it is now, but with white like the 76 you resto'd Stewy, would the blue do the same thing as the metallic silver?

metallic blue is alot more forgiving than silver.

Well I came up with a name for the 79 "Blue Phoenix", it's Blue and being reborn from the ashes..

I can't tell what fits the truck better white or black wheels, i'm leaning more towards white:
