Talking the boat is back from paint!!!!!!

got her back!!!!!! an man does she look sexy!!!!

my painer said the Awlcraft 2000 "dark gray" was fairly light, almost lighter than the console, i told him i'd like the color to be darker than the console but not too dark, and man did he hit the nail on the head!!!

said he had a bunch of black and white Awlgrip left over from a 80 hatteras he painted 2 weeks ago, started playing with the colors and bam! found an awesome blend

Awlgrip custom blended color:

look at that shine!!!

he mixed enough to completely spray the boat and a full extra quart if i ever need any touch ups done

God bless him. I've painted three boats in 18 years and that is three too many! He can have that job! Biggest one I did was 19 foot and it made my life suck for a month. never again.

Ditto on 0500! I'll bring my puny fishin' rod. I'll have to leave 2 days before to be there safely, or leave really early the day before, and just drive all day. What else do we need for the boat?

Well, at this rate... "I think we're gonna need a bigger boat!"

And yes, that is an awesome job that guy did paintin' your boat!
