Exclamation Wear Nitrile Gloves To Protect Your Health

Protect Yourself With Disposable Nitrile Gloves, YES I guess you could consider them a TOOL.

Nitrile gloves protect you from harmful chemicals. Wear them when working with automotive fluids and other caustic liquids.

Wear nitrile gloves to protect your health

Buy nitrile gloves by the box and use them for all auto and household repair jobs. They cost about 15˘ a pair.

In the old days, guys called you a wimp if you wore gloves when you worked on cars. Aside from the wimp factor, gloves were too clumsy for fine work. But we now know that some automotive fluids contain caustic or even carcinogenic chemicals. That's why most auto techs now wear nitrile gloves, as should you.

Nitrile is a durable synthetic material that protects your skin from the chemicals. The gloves are available at auto parts stores and online for about $7.50 for a box of 100. That's 15˘ a pair—a small price to pay to protect your health.
I stll only use bare skin no gloves.

H-150 steps on the soap box. Shout out to Joey!! Thanks for bringing this up. A simple matter with huge impacts.

Wimp Factor my ASS! These are the very best thing you can do for yourself and your family.

Imagine what can happen to your kids who only wanted to lend hero dad a hand when they grab that spray bottle. It just aint worth it. I used to think "fug it I aint got time to put them on".

I would keep my fingernails really short and scratch the soap bar before doing any work (keeps the dirt and grease outta from under my fingernails). Glad we get smarter with age. My son does the same. His picture below in the black ball cap. He is stationed at Yankee FOB, Afganistan.

I use the Nitrile gloves over the others. Thier tougher and have a wider range of use. Super easy clean-up when your using grease and other chemicals. From automotive to household to garden chemicals. Just peel and toss. No mess - No fuss.

Takes just less than a minute to put'em on and less than 10 seconds to peel'em off.

A box of 100 here is about $14. Worth every penny too.

Cheapest health insurance TOOL on the market.

back when in SEA when we stripped our weapons we bath them in a large trough of some kind of chemical and swished the parts around with our hands
when finished your hands kinda shrunk up
never thought about or even seen gloves, except in the 'blood tent'

the NIOSH catalog shows up on the first post at random (the ads to the right) a good read

I use them when I develop my own film.

You know what they say, "No Glove. No Love."

I have started wearing gloves here in the last yr or so. I have 3 boxes in my toolbox. I buy mine off the Snap-On truck. I have black nitrile (kinda thin, tear easy, but thin for finer work) blue rubber (good for parts washer chemicals, battery acids, and brake clean), and I have a cheap box of blue nitrile (give them to other guys when I dont want them getting my expensive gloves). I use them when getting in NASTY trucks, when Im overhauling engines (cuz im covered in oil all day and it does soak in), changing batteries, messing with antifreeze. Good topic "J"......Guys may say Im a "Y" but atleast I dont have the crap going into my system and lessen my chances of getting cancer (hopefully)!!!!

LOL.....I agree! Guy in the next day was picking about it today. He didnt know that my sister had 3 rounds of chemo and a bone marrow transplant. I told him I had seen first hand what chemo does and I didnt really care to go thru it. He didnt have anything to say after that.

On the other hand.....I got a new box monday off Snap-On. These are thicker than the other Nitrile gloves. They are a purplish color but who cares....Id wear them if they wear pink as long as I didnt get cancer, have the skin fall off my skinners, or worse!
