Default Stock lower steering column? 89 f250 2WD

I just replaced; tie rods, drag link, pitman and power steering pump with stock parts. I did buy a Redhead steering gear. I now need to replace lower steering column and add a stabilizer. This truck does tow and sees some variable terrain, but is not a rally rig. Thoughts on stock lower columns v mid-cost aftermarket and stabilizers?
