Just picked up my welded exhaust pieces. And according to FedEx, my tach is sitting by the front door. I love it when I get to go home to new toys!

Not sure if the photos will show up this time, but got the tach installed on the steering column, without obstructing the view of any of the other gauges. Even did it real professional like,...used a stainless hose clamp to mount it with. Engine idles at 800rpm. Gonna go for the exhaust this evening.

Got the exhaust in and it sounds pretty good. Good thing about exhaust is you can actually hear if there are any issues with the motor. Like in my case,...I can hear that the starter bendix isn't fully retracting, so the flywheel is hitting it. I'll pick up a new starter one day this week. had an extra hand yesterday so we were able to slap the hood on it.

Picked up a new starter yesterday. Didn't swap them out yet. But compared it to another old one. I didn't realize there was a difference between the starter for an auto trans and a manual trans. Another lesson learned.

Starter was the cure all. Sounds like a good ole Ford pick up now. Been a long time coming, but it's finished. Gotta pressure wash it and clean it up. Going out of town this weekend, so it'll have to wait a week or so. I'll send you guys the finished product when I get it cleaned.

Here she is. First time it's moved under it's own power since 2015. She ain't pretty,..but she runs. First thing after the test drive to the car wash was to uncover the boat and put it in the garage. When taking my youngest to her wrestling practice last night, she say's "it's fun to be in a truck again". Yes, yes it is.

If you have access to a photo sharing site, you can upload them to that and use the IMAGE function to post them.
