A good start would be to post an actual question about the truck,
this is a Ford truck forum and while you're at it, introduce yourself.

Default 77 f250 highboy

Ok, I got a 1977 f250 highboy 4x4 i got it from a boy who didnt take to good care of it. I was wondering when i went to get parts if the parts could come from a regular f250 4x4 or does the parts have to come from an actual highboy? What truck and truck parts would interchange with my truck?

Well first, lets clear the air here:

There is, from what I know (and most others), no actual truck released from Ford called a highboy.

Some early Ford trucks were made with a high stance, tall thin tires, and leaf springs in the front. This is where the term highboy came from. Now, one way to make sure you have a highboy is to look at how the leaf springs were installed on your front end. If when you look at your truck from the side, the front leaf springs smile at you, it would be a "highboy".

Will your parts fit. They are both F-250's with the same exact frame, so yes, the parts will fit. There are a few guys on here who can also, and I am sure will, share some more info.

Those are nice trucks and if done right, look sweeet! Please introduce yourself to us all and post some pics of what you got.

If you are looking for parts, please post a request in our classifieds section. Be sure to list one part per thread. We have a few Junk Yard Warriors that I am sure can help you out.

Remember, post in classifieds and one part per thread.

I had a '76 highboy for awhile and the only difference between it and a 'standard' F250 4x4, was that the highboy had a factory installed lift (about 3 inches i believe), but Webby is right, they weren't promoted or sold as a "highboy", that name came from users.

I'm not new to fords i had a 79 f150 4x4 b4 and i sold it to get a different truck so i got this truck. So your saying any f250 with the same front end as mine the parts will fit my truck? I didnt know if my f250 having the bigger hubs will effect the parts i could get and put on

axles and hubs you may want to find another "highboy' to rob them from, or at least make sure they are the same size hubs. Just like any other swap, if you are not sure, take some measurements or do side by side comparisons if possible.
