Default 1997 F350 4x4 Front Axle Swap to 1998 4x4 front axle

Hi Guys & Ladies: Glad to join the club ! Always been a Ford Buyer !! Had a 1970 Boss Mustang, Sold that ! and later bought a 1997 F350 4x4 7.3 Diesel.. The question i have is, My front bearing, and stub axles are just worn out.. on this truck. I would like to swap out the complete axle setup for a Dana 60 or 70 complete axle (610655-2) date code 08/27/98, 4.10 gears.. 4x4 with Daully hubs or adapters, ball joint - disc brakes setup. Its like mine. But much nicer with low miles..paid ($200.00)..I would like to swap this.. into my truck with 4.10 rear gears! What problems will i encounter with this swap.

Welcome.....

Ill look at work tomorrow and see if I can get you any info. I work on so much stuff its hard to keep them all seperated. They all kinda blend together unless they are in my face looking at me. Each has its own little quirks......

First let me welcome you to FTC. I live in North Jersey, minutes away from Manhattan.

Second, this is the welcome section. We try to focus on just introductions here, no technical talk.

Please take a few minutes to look at the different sections our forum has to offer and then create your threads accordingly.

Third, if your truck is a 4x4 and you plan on putting 4.10's in the rear... you better make sure the fronts got 4.10's also!

Once again, welcome! We are a bunch of easy going people on here so if you have any issues or questions, always feel free to speak!

Edit:

I think you got the gearing covered! Never mind!

Welcome to FTC Harley(I got a cousin with that name!) You'll wanna ask in either the Engine/Trans/Axle sub forum or the sub forum for your specific F250 model year.
