Default Right Blinker Stays On

I have a 2011 Explorer Limited, the right blinker tends to stay on all of the time. I can eventually play with the handle to get the blinker to go off, but sometimes this takes a long and others I a can simply move it to the left. The left blinker works fine unless the right blinker is hung open, then it will not work at all.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to repair or do I simply need to replace the switch in the column?

The problem may be the internal switch assembly.
