Default Where are you located?

Hello from the Leavenworth, Kansas area.....otherwise known as The First City of Kansas.
More precise Northwest of Easton, Kansas.

Just thought I'd kick off the Mid-West Forum.

I am a retired supervisor of mechanical and electronic technicians.
Started working on Fords in 1959 on my 1956 Ford.
I have never paid anyone to do work on my cars or trucks in the last 50 years.
I have worked as a mechanic in service stations starting in the 1960's while I was in the NAVY.
I have worked at several manufacturing plants as a mechanic, electrician and electronic technicians.
I have also repaired TV's and computers for a while.

Welcome Sub, good to see you around. Kansas is a bit far from me! Where is the 56 ford right now? Was it an F100 by any chance?

The one I was referring to was my first car when I was 16 but later in 1965 I did have a 1955 F100, but sad to say they are long gone. Gave up the car when I went into the Navy and I had the 55 while on shore duty at Great Lakes NTC. I had to give it up when I left there for shore duty in Vietnam with the 1st Naval Infantry Division at Danang.

I do have a 56 Ford Car out in the barn that I been going to restore but have not got around to it yet.

First I would like to thank you for defending this country during a time of great confusion and one of the dumbest wars this country has ever lost. I am glad that you have a nice classic just waiting for you! I would love to see pictures of your barn treasure if possible!
