Default Frame number location

Is anyone able to tell me where the frame or chassis number is located on a 49 F1 please?. I have some paint and scale to remove and do not want to go too eagerly where the number might be obliterated . The vehicle does have Id plates intact on both the upper RH firewall and the glove compartment lid. I will need the frame number for registration purposes. Will it match part of the body plate number structure?.

They don't tell us on this side of the pond where the hidden ID numbers are. That information is closely held by law enforcement and the insurance industry.

As far as I know, those early Fords have a chassis number. First thing our registration authorities want to see ,besides the engine number . If not found, they will issue one for you to stamp . Those F1,s and early F100 would have one.
