well folks,....my 2000 V-10 4x4 excursion just hit 200k last weekend. truck has been awesome. only issues have been brake calipers and hubs. also a couple of coil packs. it has a 4" lift in the rear and a 6" lift in the front running on 35" tires. here's to many more FORD tough miles!!!!!

I do have 1 question,...I didn't buy the truck brand new. Therefore I don't know the factory code for the keypad on the driver's door. There is no card or anything in the owner's manual (like there should be) for me to refer to. I've been told that there is somewhere on the vehicle, like behind the radio or something that I can find this. Does anyone know where? I attempted to get it from the dealer, but was told they can't access that info after so many years.

From what I can find, the 2000 did not have the code printed anywhere in the vehicle, sorry. You can look on the PCM, but I'm not hopeful. A competent dealer can read out the code with their diagnostic computer, expect to pay for that.

2 places to look is behind the glovebox to the left, or behind the radio to the right on/near the firewall

alright fellas,...got some bad news. tranny sprung a leak on me this weekend. haven't climbed under it yet to see exactly where it's coming from. but i had a deal i couldn't pass on. buddy of mine had a 2005 tranny and transfer case out of a f350 king ranch that was totaled in 07. $600 cash money for both parts, plus some electrical side work. even if i don't use it on my excursion, too good of a bargain. he also has the dually rear axle and front dana 60 for the same truck. i think i'll take those off his hands also. i see a special build in the near future!
