Default Lousy Gas Mileage, thanks to ethanol

Just curious guys how much your gas mileage has dropped using ethanol. I went from around 13MPG around town to around 10MPG. I know this is a direct result of not being able to get real gas any more around here. I spent a lot of time online looking into this and my thoughts were confirmed that this junk is hammering many other with an average loss of 2-3MPG's. I even found a web site called puregas.org that lists places by states were you can get real gas. Go figure the closest area to me is 3 hours away and just last year I could get non ethal gas around my area just about any filling station, but slowly but surely they all have fallen to the ethal rules and it is non existent round here now So guys, do you feel me on this one and having the same issues. Lord only knows all the long term harm this junk is doing to my 5.4 engine designed for real gas!

A few gas stations around here have gas that is up to 10% ethanol and I try to avoid them. Once having no choice I bought it and it was terrible. It claimed to be a 90 octane and my truck ran like crap and drank it like cheap wine. I lost about 100miles to my tank using it. If you don't have a Flex Fuel 5.4 I would recommend staying away from the E85.

i get ethanol free quite often from my work, i get about 11.5 mpg with E10 and 13.5 with E-free in the city, and about 17 mpg E10, and 19 to 21 E-free on the highway... our gas is anywhere from 89 to 91 octane depending on what our supplier ships us

also, ethanol is corrosive and can degrade some of the materials in the engine and fuel system.

I wish I could stay away, but in my original post I posted this isn't possible any more. There is no pure gas within 100 miles of me.
