Thumbs up EcoBoost is Quickest

I read in 'Motor Trend' their test report of several F-150's with each equipted with a differant engine and body style

Th Eco-Boost scalled all the others including to 6.0 Harley ED. on the 0 - 60 MPH time
and the 1/4 mi. time & speed

I've heard around the internet waves that the ecoboost may respond to a tuner like the 6.4 stroker does.
If that is true

I'm considering a used '11 Eco-Boost if the price is right
we shall see

the transmission in this Truck shifts like crap
make noise when you slow down to stop

if all 6 speeds are like this they can keep'em

I've been considering a car lately
Can't get rid of the truck though, it makes my money at the moment.

My taste for V6's was tainted by my 4.2 F150. I'd pick a 5.0 over a Ecoboost myself, maybe if I drove one it would change my mind. I find the Harley 6.2 engine to be a little disappointing. It sure doesn't perform like you'd expect a 6.2L 411hp V8 to in my opinion.

I think the AWD & weight hinder the HD edition

I can definitely tell you that the 6 speeds have some issues, mine is going into the shop this week for a massive leak... However, mine never has shifted bad or make noise when I slow down.

As for the eco boosts, I know they are very fast, I had a guy try to pull with me for a little bit a while ago and he was headed down the road before before mine had even down-shifted, very impressive consideing that I can hold my ground with a 6.0 chev.

I think I'll wait on a new truck

let us know about that leak, and anything else you find out
