Default 1977 F250 4X4 Low Boy

Aloha from IRT.250 Hawaii. I'm excited to be a member of the Ford Truck Club. I just started to work on my project which is my 77 F250 4X4. I had this truck from it's birth off a Ford dealers lot in 1977. Pulled 351M out because it was frozen. Undecided what to do for an engine. I have a friend with a possible 400M siitting in his back yard. Need to go look at though. A machine shop would charge me $3000 to completely over haul. Any sugestions? The body needs work. The cab corners front and rain gutter rails are rusted. My boss use to be a mechanic, and he's giving me the incentive to persue this resto project. Will post pictures later.

Again, happy to be a member

Aloha

welcome to the club! i cant wait to see some pics! the engine is the most important part of a truck so make it a good one. i would say a 351W but that would be enough power for a truck like yours.
