Default just bought an ex

hello everybody. monday i traded my 00 f150 in on a 01 excursion. i like the truck so far, although i haven;t driven it much yet. at 201k on the clock, the motor runs quiet. the size isn't an issue, as i am a truck driver by trade. the fuel mileage doesn't bother me much either as i don't drive much after work unless i'm with the wife in her van. she hates trucks lol.
my question, what kinda issues are other owners having at this, or higher mileage? thank you for your time

The only issue you are gonna have is terrible gas mileage and possible spark plug ejection (same as the 4.6/5.4 2 valve).

also beware those plastic fittings for coolant
a plastic tee is clamped on the heater hose to supply rear heater, over time the clamps, and or the tee fails.
causing a coolant leak above the plugs on the passenger side.
which in turn caused a misfire and shakeing engine

what joey said, the plastic t-fittings broke on our expedition at around 215,000 miles.

one of my good customers at work has a 01 excursion 4x4 7.3L, they love it.

if you're still out there gale,...just wondering if you still have your excursion. if so, are you still enjoying it and how many miles do you have on it now?
