Post cranks no start

Looking at this looks great to help each other and see some of the great Rangers. I have a 1997 Ranger 4 cylinder. Got a little flutter in the engine one day went away pulled in the driveway turned it off went out to start the next day would turn over ok but would not start put new time belt in same. looks like i have good gas pressure but know spark. Any thouts soemone told me could be a crancase or camshaft sensor and if so should this come up using a hand code detctor. any help would be great. Thanks and this is a great start...

Have you checked the Ignition Coil? They can create a no spark issue, also how old are the sparkplugs?

crankshaft & camshaft sensors would not prevent spark

sounds weird, runs one day and not the next
