Default new to fords from Seattle

I am new to Ford trucks and would love to build my 1977 ford f 250 4x4 into a nice looking hauler for my Jeep. I am sure there are a ton of questions I will have and this looks like the place that can help me out.

It is a good project for me and my 4yr old son, I can do everything except paint so I am leaning towards buying a clean 2wd and swapping bodies [there is alot on CL that look good] He loves our truck!!!!!!!!!!
