Default 93 F-150 460 swap

Ok so i have a 93 f150 4x4 it has a 305 and five speed tranny, recently i was givin a 86 f250 with a rebuilt 460 it was a buddie of mines mud racing truck well was gonna be but they ended up not having the races so he said if i wanted it i just had to come get it. k so my question is what do i do to put the 460 from the 86 into my 93, what parts i need and all that any help would be awesome thanks will be posting pictures as the project continues

Thread moved to correct section.

First thing of course, I'll be assuming that you have a 302 in your truck, not a 305. This will be MUCH easier said than done, because basically EVERYTHING needs to be swapped, down to the axles (unless you like destroying gears). Before you go any further, are you going carb on the 460 or EFI? Keep in mind that your 93 is computer controlled, the transmission(if it's auto), the engine, the speedometer, everything. The route I would go is EFI for power, MPG (hah!), and reliability...get the engine harness and computer out of a 5-speed 460 truck, and figure something out on the VSS. If you go the carb route, you'll have to figure out a speedometer of some sorts.

Your truck has a M5OD 5 speed, which will not bolt up to a 460. You will also need the tranny out of the F250.

2003 F-150 XL RCSB 2wd 4.2 5 speed 3.55 LS
