Default Gas Gauge

My gas gauge just went out and I was wondering if anyone could possible tell me how to replace or where to find information to figure that out. I am just kind of learning to do this on my own. I know some things. Anything would be appreciated. It started going out and I filled the truck half way and the needle is below E. Thank you.
