Default 1997 f150 timing chain question

Just joined the forum though I have been looking at it for some time.
I have a question concerning the timing chain setup on a 1997 romeo 4.6
that I have just completed a head gasket and valve job on.
I have followed dynotech's very helpfull posts going past tdc to 12oclock
on the crank keyway, marking opposite chain links and installing them
precisely on the crank sprockets and the cam srockets timing marks.
I have done this three times with the same results. With the passenger
side cam timing mark set at 90% to the block ,the drivers side cam
timing mark is way off of 90% to the block perhaps 20% to the left
looking at front of engine. My question then is,is this normal or am I
missing something.I will be glad on any assistance.

central Florida welcomes you to the club. you'll probably get a better chance of finding some assistance if you move your question to the appropriate forum category (1997-2003 F150). good luck.
