Question Tailgate trim panel ?

HAS anyone tried to take the reflector off and replace it on the tailgate trim panel.
mine has a crack in it. its either that or try to find a new one. eBay has a few trim panels but id rather have new or replace the reflector.
i did find one website that sold the new panel it was near 600.00 a bit much for a trim panel jmho. jj

i like that look the best. but that means filler and repainting.
i watched the video on removing the emblem on the gt iv never had a trim panel off i do know they have like 6 screws holing them on. if i could id like to remove the cracked reflector and replace it but i may end up going a different route as in replacing the whole thing or like you did just do away with it altogether.

All patched with metal. If body filler went on it was a very, very light coat to give it that extra smoothness. Any small holes got pluged up with the welder.
