Default Update on cab step plans

As I will post elsewhere, went to one of the area yards wendnesday, mainly to get rh passenger side step and brace, but they were gone. (shit) Got back and started looking at what I got. I have 2 sets with no braces and some brackets that attach to steps. I have one excellent lh step and brace with rear bracket missing. Solution: take best rh cab step and the brackets I needed to make one good set, but the bolts from bottom plate are eat down to nubs. Remove better plate off other (worse step), but I cracked step doing it my way. I don't know what kind of glue they used but I just don't see any way of swapping bottom reinforcement plates. My idea is, sand blast plate, maybe even burn the bolts out of plate if possible. I believe they are press fitted. Then just weld some studs back in those places. That fixes step issue but I still have no rh brace. Most fab shops around here are doing contract work and don't want to bother with the little guy. I checked with a place in calf that specializes in bending and forming tube. $360 to just set jig up. With the way things have went the past couple of weeks, I just had to skip that. So now I'm in need of a rh brace(see parts wanted). Now that I have the time, I'm gonna get busy and try to get them sanded and painted. Good friend of mine's dad, has a gun and a good place to spray. Will try and post pics later.

Here are some photos of the bottom reinforcement plate and studs. I just remembered didn't get a close up of the stud. The last photo is the good plate I'm trying to remove to swap with the plate on the gold step which I haven't removed yet and probably won't. It's the one with nubs for studs. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated. The last photo didn't make it on here so disregard that statement. One photo shows the glue they used and one how studs should look. The center stud is short and I don't know if the used some kind of barrel nut to go in hole over stud or not. Need info on that please.
