Hi. Im new here. I see that this thread a bit old. I am hoping that someone is out there who can help. My friend has a 1989 F-150 and the clutch pedal is sloppy as can be. No one sells the bracket anymore. Before I try to reinvent the wheel, I thought I would check to see if anyone can help me.

Are the plastic bushings still in place? Or in good condition? What do you mean exactly by "sloppy"?

The bushings are gone and there is so much play that I assume the aluminum housing is rounded out. I just put in a new clutch and cannot disengage the clutch to shift once the engine is running.

Not to sound like a jerk,....but did you make sure the clutch went in with the side labeled "flywheel" facing the flywheel? Also, is the slave cylinder new? I know they can be hard to bleed sometimes.

Hello my first time on here . So ain't sure if I'm even in the right spot . But I have a 87 f250 4x4 460 5spd . The clutch pedal has been stomped on so hard that the weld on the fire wall has about 1/2" play . And the bracket is broke in a few spots . Honestly I'm not sure what holding it up . Nothing online says 87 ....what will work please any help at all

They make a bracket for the master cylinder that fixes that problem.
