Cool 79 bronco tailgate window troubleshooting

Just like the title says. I have a 1979 bronco and the window in the tailgate works up and down without troubles but only by the switch in the tailgate, not by the switch by the heater controls. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know i replaced the switch but it was a used switch and I dont think it is the switch itself that has gone bad im thinkin there might be a break in the wire or something like that

Default

check to see if you have continuity from the wires up front to the back
this would at least eliminate a broken or disconnected wire
