Exclamation F-250 4 speed v6 4.9

Hello i just bought my 89 f250 2wd 4 speed and was having trouble with the starting the truck at first but found out i was pressing down on the clutch far enough. So that is My problem my clutch is stiff and i have step all the way to the floor for it to start and to shift gears. Want to know about how fix the clutch to raise it of the floor? sorry if it doesn't make sense.

Thank You

First off, that's not a V6, it's an I6.

Find the clutch pedal safety switch and disconnect it. It should be somewhere on the pedal arm. If that doesn't work, then bridge the connector you disconnected. I don't remember whether it's a make or break switch.

As far as adjusting the clutch, it's not adjustable. You may have to replace it.
