Door latch cable replacement w/E door locks
Hi all, first time posting here.
In an attempt to replace the drivers side door latch cable on my 97 F350 I was unable to pull out the door latch mechanism because of the electric door lock assembly beneath the latch. It appears the the rivet holding it in place needs to be drilled out - that's OK, but didn't want to drill it not knowing what the rivet is to be replaced with. Has anyone done this procedure before? AAA Auto has a great youtube vid but barely mentions the E lock issue.
Thanks
