Not sure I can fit all that in the truck and still climb in and drive it!

All you need is a big gun and even bigger balls, you'll make it.

Yesterday I replaced the distributor cap, rotor, spark plug wires, & spark plugs. I decided to see what kind of shape the air filter was in only to discover that it had evaporated! A quick trip to my local NAPA (which is new) and I got a paper filter to put in for now. Coming soon: A K&N filter at the very least, a K&N cold air intake kit ideally.

Today's upgrade: tires!

What motor is under the hood.
2.9 fuel infected I mean injected.
Reason for asking is a friend of mine has basically the same truck, except lifted 9 inches and has some motor work done and he made his own air intake with some simple crap. I'll get a picture up for you here in a minute.
Okay maybe I won't I can't find his facebook for some reason. But basically he used some flexible plastic intake stuff and a generic size k&n filter and just held it to the inner fender somehow. It looks like it would be really easy to make an intake for those motors.

2.9 is correct. Hopefully it will survive the winter and next spring get torn down and rebuilt. I may lift it 3 or 4 inches eventually, but first I have to wear out the tires I just bought for this height!

Watch yourself with a lift and bigger tires, that motor don't got much guts so a regear will be a serious must.
Also those kind of lifts are still expensive, if you only want a little more height and are just beating the truck offroad, why not go body lift?
And another thing.. rebuild the 2.9.. cmon man, lame much? 302 ftw

I got this little mule to squeeze more miles out of my fuel dollar, plus it can crawl through the quad trails easier than a full size truck! Body lift is not a bad idea though....
