Default 1967 F-250 new to group, 240 swap to 351w

hello all, thanks for letting join. I have a 67 250 2wd with a 1972 351w and four on the floor. I bought the truck about a month ago from a swap meet for $800. Running driving with clean title. Originally thought it was a f100 due to the badges on the hood, door tag says otherwise and matches title. But anyways, the motor runs great did a tune up and what have ya but I've noticed the throttle "cable" is not stock or anything close to it. its a rubber hose with knots tied at either end with loops connecting it to the carb and the throttle linkage, anyway to replace that?

You should be able to adapt a real throttle cable somehow. I don't have any specifics.
