Default 03 f250 egr

The EGR has gone bad on my F250 6.0 Diesel. So now I have major engine issues. The shop said it is common but I have not heard much about it till now. Other than the factory EGR that fails, what other options do I have?

Will

Welcome to FTC! IDK about the stock EGR or Diesel's for that matter, but why not just get a Replacement at a parts store?

I would just delete the EGR. They sell EGR delete kits for your truck: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=...at=0&_from=R40

You don't have to use eBay to buy one, that was just an example. A cheaper route would be to buy a new EGR and replace it yourself. Super easy to do.

I would delete it, problem being that when the egr goes it sometimes takes other things with it, like the oil cooler and then head gaskets etc. The internet will be your friend here, I don't know the details. If it becomes too much, take it to a shop. It could end up spendy though.
If you want parts for a delete check out CPtrucks.com and give em a call Suuuuuper awesome guys.

Just an fyi blue, one does not simply "replace" the egr with a parts store piece on a 6.0
