Default swap to install 300 inline 6

Hello; currently my 1987 f250 has the FI 302/NP435 2WD and there's a used 300 6 non-EFI from a 1978 truck available. Not to debate the two motors yet I'd like to install the carb 300 6 yet I'm attempting to find if it's possible. I believe the engine mounts purchased online for the 1987 6cyl should fit this motor yet not sure if it'll line up with the NP435. Their are also unknown issues to me as the truck has power steering, possibly the radiator would be different, fuel tank EFI fuel pump changed out, not sure what else yet I'm curious if it's a relatively easy swap? Thanks

Your biggest issue is going to be electronics. Bellhousing bolt patterns are the same, so the tranny shouldn't be a problem.

thanks for the information GLC, looks like it should be doable. Like that easy low end torque of the 6 for driving about and accomplishing errands : ) the 302 takes a bit of finess with the clutch otherwise

You may have to change the tank. The opening for a EFI fuel pump/ sending unit is larger then on a non-EFI sending unit alone. For my swap I had to buy a 1984 tank and sending unit. I couldn't find a fuel regulator that could slow down the flow from that in tank pump.
