Question smog pump pulley problem and question

Can someone please tell me why it is that when I turn my RIGHT blinker on the squeeling stops and I seem to get a little more horse power (as though it drops into a lower gear)? this DOES NOT happen when I turn on my left blinker! Im confused (please keep in mind the squeeling is coming from my smog pump pulley). Also can someone tell me if there is an easy way to find an electrical problem in my left tail light? The only light that come on is when I turn on my head lights NO OTHERS work?

I'm assuming the smog pump has some sort of electrical connection on the 92+?? sounds like one major short in the wiring harness....

Smog pump has nothing electrical. If it is a pulley squeal, i'd put my money on the alternator bearings being about out. Thats the only connection I can make between the two as far as being related. Blinker operation will have nothing to do with the smog pump, ever.

Have you replaced the bulbs in the tail lights? If not, try that first. Its the cheapest place to start. The bulbs are a 3157 or 3057.

1994 F150 XLT ExCab SB 306, 4R70w, 8.8 3.55 open, MSD StreetFire coil, Taylor Siro Pro wires, MSD cap and rotor, 1.72 Roller Rockers, 2º cam advance w/ Cloyes Street True Roller timing set, Flat top Hyperutectic pistons, Flowtech Long Tube headers, Xpipe, High flow Magnaflow converters, Spintech XL Sportsman DIDO muffler.
