What year, which engine, and which hose? Please mark the pic and take another one zoomed out so we can see it in better context.

2003 F-150 XL RCSB 2wd 4.2 5 speed 3.55 LS

Right side of engine when looking at hood. Black hose behind pic of engine oil stick.

looks like the hose for the PCV valve

PCV valve is on the passenger valve cover. Is this the driver's side?

If the other end of that hose goes to the plastic intake tube between the air cleaner and throttle body, that's the PCV inlet hose. That's why we need to see a zoomed out pic.

What year, what engine?
