Default Tire Suggestions for a Nissan

Hey guys, I know this doesn't pertain to our Fords, but Mrs. Yellow needs new tires and I want to get some input before ordering.

She has a 2007 Nissan Xterra S Model (4WD) OEM size is 265/70/16.

There are tons out there as I have found out. I think the suv is severly under powered for any sort of aggressive offroad tread. She doesn't go offroading, mainly highway and normal driving, so I think a nice all season tire will do. Never had any high performance tire last that long either.

I was looking at the Falken S/TZ-04, always had good luck with Falken and a few different Khumo models. I want to get something that will last at least 50k miles, nice tread, good for dry/rain/snow.

What are some of your thoughts? Thanks guys.

Vin....cooper tires...especially the HT or AT tires will last quite a while. I had the Discoverer HT's on my 93 full size blazer....great tire. I've always had good experience with cooper tires in the past....pretty reasonably priced most times too

I'm a fan of Cooper Tires also, but for some reason, in this size, they are a bit expensive. I like the Falkens a lot. I've also gotten great use out of them.

LOL......I have a spare cooper in that size if ya want it. Came off a 2005 Equinox. Has a internal patch but like 80% tread left. Would be good for a spare if ya ever needed it instead of buying a new tire.

What about Bridgestones?

Ironically her spare is brand new, ugh, women! We're both on a kinda tough budget right now. Have been looking at the Falkens/General/Kuhmo.
