Default Garmin 400C color fish finder install

What's in the Box:

* Fishfinder 400C
* Dual beam or dual frequency transducer
* Mounting bracket
* Power/data cable
* Protective cover
* Owner's manual





first find a clear spot on the transom away from bunks, chines(lift strakes) through-hulls, or away from the lower unit to mount the transducer

i mounted on the port side inward or the trailer bunks...


drill 2 holes using 1/8th inch bit



use 2 supplied screws to hold the bracket on, be sure to fill the holes and seal the holes with a good marine sealant, i used 3M marine 5200.



adjust the transducer so the line on the inward side lines up with the bottom of the hull



find a good location for the finder unit, be sure theres enough room for the data and power cables in the back... mount the bracket, and drill a hole for the data/power cable.(sorry,didnt get any pics of that step)

heres a few shot on the demo mode, real crisp clear picture...

yes, yes i did

ive primarily fished backwater and around docks the past year where you dont need a finder, but a few of my customers told me of a reef thats not listed on any charts close to my house, only way to find it is with a fish finder. each time they go there they bring back atleast a +25" grouper
