Default tire and gear ratio

so after much research i fond this article from four low on tire to gear ratio
intrresting too look at and if u have the wron gears then your trans is not going to last long so take a look at this!!!!!
might wanna make it a sticky

we actually have a ratio guide, go to "Tech Archives" at the top if the page, click it, then scroll to the 4th link down

'95 F150 XLT, reg cab long bed, swapped 351w,
4.56 gears, 4-link SAS, 14" coil overs.

SAS Thread!!!

'04 F250 Lariat, crew cab short bed 4x4 6.0L PSD, 3.73 gears, straight piped,
sinister coolant filter, welded egr, CAT EC-1 coolant, blue spring.
60 gallon fuel tank/tool box, SCT X4 w/IDP custom tunes, SOON TO BE STUDDED!!

Those charts are all well n good, but not if you are driving something with a completely different torque curve than that of a normal v8.

I disagree
the chart show RPM's relative to tire diameter and rear gear for a gas engine

now Torque would come into play if you were towing and had a to high or low rear gear; and thats not relavent to the chart

But i'm saying the whole RPM to power or mpg thing would be a lot different for my engine, it is happy cruising at 1500-2000 rpm's while the newer 5.4's want like 2500-3000 for cruising or it's lugging out, wasting gas and power.
Naw mean?
